Many factors can contribute to the development of behavioural problems such as aggression, separation anxiety, excessive barking, phobias and fears, destructiveness or indoor elimination. With the appropriate help and advice these problems can be modified and managed.
A behaviour modification is to help modify problem behaviour and involves assessing your pet in your home, or in the location where the unwanted behaviour occurs. To build a case history we look at each pet as an individual and determine the emotions that are influencing the behaviour. We will explain why the behaviour is being maintained and the techniques advised to address it.
The program lasts up to 2 hours and includes demonstration of the practical aspects of the programme, after which you will receive a report outlining your pet's behavioural plan and any relevant help sheets.
For more successful outcomes, sometimes follow-up visits are required. These help with evaluating progress and reviewing procedures. Any follow-ups will depend on your goals and the progress you make post visit. Alternatively participation in our classes is an option you may wish to consider. Your trainer will advise you during your behaviour modification of realistic training timeframes and what would be required to reach your goals.
